Canada Study permit is a document issued to students after they enter Canada. They are also issued an eTA( electronic travel authorization) along with the study permit.

SDS is a program that expedites the process of you getting a student permit. Your study permit is usually valid for the entire length of your course, plus an extra 90 days. To apply for SDS, you should have your acceptance letter from a Designated Learning Institute(DLI), tuition fees receipt, Guaranteed Investment Certificate of CAD 10,000, acceptable IELTS scores, medical certificate of fitness and academic transcripts.

Though universities, colleges and institutes in Canada have different eligibility requirements, a general set of criteria for applying successfully is:

  • 70% or above in Class 12 for bachelor’s degree
